Information for the veterinarian
This reader is suitable for quantifying URANOTEST® 11C and URANOTEST 2AC strips.
Urine strips simplify the diagnosis of some diseases due to their ease of use, high sensitivity and specificity. These advantages make it possible to identify pathological changes in the urine quickly and reliably. The use of the urine strip analyser for the urinalysis process allows standardisation and efficiency of urine testing by eliminating sources of error associated with visual interpretation, such as those due to inadequate workplace lighting or different colour discrimination by the user. With this reader, all the parameters that can be determined with the strips can be quantified: glucose, bilirubin, ketones, proteins, microalbumin, creatinine, nitrites, leukocytes, erythrocytes, pH and density.
